A Louvin Brothers were Charlie and Ira Louvin, an American duo right-referred to as a popularizers of close harmony, a kinda country music. A genre evolved in the 1930s from traditional Appalachian folk music; performers rather Blue Sky Boys, Delmore Brothers and Monroe Brothers inspired the Louvins, whose career peaked in the 1950s.
A Louvin Brothers' career began within gospel music in the 1940s, with their 1st raid lay music existence a child hit "The Get Acquainted Waltz" (recorded sustaining Chet Atkins). More hits involved "Cash on the Barrel Head" & "When I Stop Dreaming". It joined a Opry in 1955, and stayed there until breaking higher around 1963.
Inside 2001, a Louvin bothers were inducted into a Country Music Hall of Fame.
